A newly refurbished workplace in Leicester

Halford House Office Refurbishment

Our Interior Design team has completed the first phase of the refurbishment of Halford House. The fit out delivered contemporary office accommodation and incorporated a range of collaborative working areas.

The new office provides a comfortable, bright and open environment. It offers space for us to be creative and allows flexibility in the way that we work. It has made it a pleasure to come back into the office - I have particularly enjoyed having a screen-break in one of the dedicated downtime spaces surrounded by plants and cosy furniture.

Following the signing of a new lease on Halford House, Pick Everard reaffirmed their commitment with staying in the central location of Leicester City Centre, in the building that they had originally designed. The length of the new lease provided the firm with the opportunity to invest in the refurbishment and remodelling of the interior of their office headquarters. The brief was simple; the interior needed to reflect how they work, their brand and future vision. The office had to be a place where they can showcase their work, entertain clients’, and provide a welcoming environment for both guests and employees.

The transition from a ‘traditional office’ to an agile ‘open plan environment’ including collaboration spaces, informal meeting areas and breakout zones, imposed a cultural change for the client and their users. Space planning was a key element of the design process in ensuring that the office would suit several disciplines whilst maintaining the correct amount of private space alongside open plan working. We were able to keep the project within the budget with no compromise on quality through our strong relationships with trusted suppliers. We collaborated closely to ensure that the original concept would be consistent with the realisation.

Understanding the business and disciplines that work within Halford House gave us the advantage to design an interior that we knew would accommodate our needs. We identified a range of spaces which would meet the requirements of our daily activities, through first-hand experience of the space, we were able to apply our knowledge of the building to the design. Utilising our in-house multi-disciplinary offering, we ensured that our collective efforts allowed us to deliver the programme and project more efficiently, with better outcomes for our client. Our collaborative ethos and technical expertise enabled us to efficiently deliver quality modern office accommodation within the client’s budget.
