Multi-disciplinary consultancy Pick Everard has proudly been named as the winner of the Innovation in Workplace Culture Award at the 2025 Construction News Workforce Awards.

Deliver Better Together

Hosted at the Grosvenor House Hotel, the Construction News Workforce Awards brought together nearly 450 delegates, recognising the outstanding achievements of those striving to make the construction industry and their organisations great places to work.

The panel of 18 judges reviewed the entries, and announced Pick Everard’s “Do the Right Thing” workplace commitment as the category winner.

"Do the Right Thing"
is Pick Everard’s fully integrated cultural commitment that delivers meaningful, measurable outcomes across four key pillars including:

  • Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Talent Development
  • Rewards & Recognition
  • Staff Engagement

Driven by innovation, shaped by its people, and driving constant improvements in the practice’s policies and approach, it has redefined what great workplace culture looks like within the construction industry.

The judges revealed Pick Everard won in recognition of their concerted efforts to engage staff in a comprehensive change programme, raising standards in their people experience and daily working life while driving engagement, inclusion, and purpose. The results of this values-led initiative have redefined best practice and empowered employees to shape both their careers and the organisation. With 98% of employees feeling invested in by the business, the results speak for themselves.

Elizabeth Hardwick-Smith
, Group People and Culture Director at Pick Everard, said: “The journey that we have been on as a practice has led to the implementation of a range of crucial new talent development programmes, staff diversity forums, a broad suite of new flexible benefits and an effective approach to wellness throughout the year. We’ve placed collaboration and frequent staff consultation and involvement at the heart of this – seeking and acting on the ideas of our colleagues. Gaining recognition for our progress to date from the Construction News Workforce Awards is a real honour and something we are incredibly proud of.”

Colin Marrs, editor of Construction News, commented: “Tonight, we celebrate the people driving construction forward – their talent, resilience and innovation continue to shape a stronger, more inclusive industry. The CN Workforce Awards showcase the very best in the sector – individuals and teams whose commitment and creativity define construction’s future success.”
