Karl Harris
Director
Karl is a director of architecture, responsible for leading design excellence in the central government portfolio of clients across justice, international development and defence.
He forms part of the architectural leadership team focusing on delivering the architectural strategy within discipline.
Karl’s career to date has been focused around the public sector, delivering schools, colleges, leisure facilities, prisons, and government assets, building strong design teams to deliver all stages of the design process from conception to handover. He has experience working across all regions of the globe working in some complex and challenging location.
What does being compassionate mean to you?
I have a passion for working on schemes that fundamentally improve the day to day lives of others, whatever type of project that may be. Curiosity and critical challenges are key drivers that we use to push projects forward to help shape a better world to live in.
I thrive on supporting others within the team to grow and develop their skills and encourage critical thinking as part of the design exploration process to enhance project outcomes. As architects we embrace the challenge and responsibility that we design buildings for the communities we live in.
