With over 25 years’ industry experience, Andy is a chartered structural engineer, an SER Certifier (Building Structures) and Chair of the Institution of Structural Engineers Scotland Regional Group.
An experienced leader, he takes pride in shaping high performing Civil & Structural teams and using his strong interpersonal skills to bring the best out of each individual. Andy has a strong track record of delivery of projects on time and on budget in the Education, Healthcare, Custodial, Blue Light, Local Authority, Leisure, Life Sciences, Industrial, Defence, Aviation, Power, Commercial Office, Retail and Residential Sectors. He ensures high quality engineering design through thorough project technical design reviews.
What does being positive mean to you?
My own values are closely aligned with all of Pick Everard’s values. In particular, Being Positive comes naturally to me as I much prefer to focus on how we can move forward beyond a difficult time or solve a problem quickly and efficiently as a team, rather than dwelling on the issue and assigning blame. Since I have joined Pick Everard, I have found the working environment to be positive as colleagues are keen to help clients and each other as much as possible and consistently display a “can do” attitude.
