During this year's WellFest, Pooja Mistry, our Head of People Experience, delves into the importance of our Wellness through Compassion programme. This initiative is not just a series of activities but a core part of Pick Everard’s values. Through this programme, we aim to support our team’s mental, physical, and financial wellbeing. By embracing compassion as a key value, we ensure every colleague can thrive both personally and professionally, ultimately enhancing our service delivery and organisational success.
Pick Everard recently took the opportunity to celebrate WellFest in July 2024. As part of our commitment to support the wellbeing of our people through our Wellness through compassion programme, we celebrated the month by providing fresh fruit to our offices, encouraging team lunchtime walks, arranging webinars on health and nutrition, holding sessions to communicate further the role of our Mental Health First aiders and much more. The aim of WellFest was to celebrate our wellbeing offering and ensure our people are reminded of everything they have access to, to boost their own mental, physical and financial wellbeing.
The Four key pillars
Our Wellness through compassion programme is underpinned by four key pillars which are ‘Financial Wellbeing’, ‘Physical Health’, ‘Mental Health and Social Wellbeing’ and ‘Family Focussed wellbeing’ which supports us in providing a holistic offering across wellbeing. My role as Head of People Experience here at Pick Everard is to support our people in achieving the highest levels of health and wellbeing which is a key objective in our People Plan.
High levels of wellbeing at Pick Everard are crucial to our success, for our individual colleagues and also to ensure the success we can enjoy and in turn the service we deliver to our clients. We are committed to enhancing our productivity and increasing engagement in wellbeing to ensure our people can bring their best selves to work.
Being Compassionate
Our Wellness through compassion programme holds a very key place within the practice as it encapsulates one of our key values “Being compassionate”. We are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of our people and everyone has a role to play in this, everyone from our supportive People and Culture team, our Leadership team, our Mental Health First Aiders, our day-to-day managers and all of our colleagues, each person can positively impact the wellbeing of others. We continue to strengthen our offering as we look at ways of measuring the success of our wellbeing activity and look for digital ways of enhancing our wellbeing offering.
