What is the most interesting aspect of architecture to you?

Architecture, design, and construction fascinate me on many levels - fundamentally it’s about progressing collaborative solutions on holistic and minute scales shaping the environment that we live, learn, work, and play in day to day.

What attracted you to join Pick Everard?

The Multi-Disciplinary teams, and strength in depth of skill sets are something that drew me to Pick Everard, along with the diverse public and private sector clients.

It is also important to me that I work for a company that understands and respects the value of their staff individually and as teams.

What excites you the most about the opportunity to grow and further develop the architecture team in Bristol?

The challenge of a new beginning excites me – building a new Architectural and Multi-Disciplinary Design Studio in the Heart of the City I was born in with the backing of the larger practice.

What are some tips you have for aspiring architects?

Simple… enjoy the journey!

What are you looking for in new talent for your team?

We currently have a team of 9 architectural staff and are looking to grow a strong team ethos focussing on great design.

We are looking for some wise design and technical minds to join us at the beginning of this journey.

What are your goals and aspirations for the next 5 years?

What are your thoughts on the future of the industry?

Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), sustainability, building re-use, and health & wellbeing will continue to be high agenda items going forward whilst also being commercially viable to suit the changing world we live in.

How does Bristol offer an opportunity for growth?

Bristol is frequently voted as one of the best places in the UK to live and work, leading to it being one of the fastest growing regions outside of London.

Consequentially requiring large scale public and private sector developments across the region in the residential, education, healthcare, office, industrial, infrastructure, transport hubs and leisure sectors.
