Introduction: Pick Everard Interior Design Team

2 Dec 2021

Anna Bly

Director

We have in the last year strengthened our in-house design capability, bringing interior design forward with a creative team that embraces innovation, user well-being, and spatial experience that has been fully considered alongside architecture and engineering principles.

Director Anna Bly heads up the team of six, working closely with Associate Cristina Riley and interior designers Rona Eftekhar, Lewis Field, Larissa Wale and David McGranaghan. Together they have high ambitions for the interior design services we can offer, which collaborates cohesively with architectural elements of our commissions, but also delivers standalone interior design projects for our clients.

David Shaw, national design director, said: “We are continually improving and enhancing our approach to design across Pick Everard to ensure we consistently consider the design from concept to completion, maintaining a holistic approach with all design contributors.

“Strong interior design collaboration is key to raising the quality of our solutions and to meet the needs of our client briefs. Anna and the team are integral to the process and it’s fantastic to have them in the design team. The work they’ve done so far since joining the firm has added real value to projects and we are collectively driving forward with a design orientated attitude that embodies our approach – to imagine, explore and create.

“The value of interior design is way beyond colour swatches. Our interior designers are involved from the outset of a project, collaborating with the architects and engineers to set the principles, interrogate the brief and influence the design journey and the ultimate solution.”

The interior team’s combined experience means they can influence a range of sectors summarised as: Live, Learn, Work, Play and Stay. With this broad experience they are actively working on a number of exciting and influential commissions and have recently completed the Health and Allied Professions Centre for Nottingham Trent University.

Anna Bly, director, said: “We’re very excited by the opportunity we have to bring real value to the projects we collaborate with the wider team on – as well as those dedicated interior design commissions. We have high aspirations with a view to grow the team with creative and innovative individuals expanding to our other offices across the UK to further widen the breadth of expertise in the team.

“We want to provide bespoke interior solutions that deliver beyond our client expectations, and craft a solution that personifies the client brand, their project requirements and core values. We are passionate about our role in delivering the work we do, and we thrive on finding new and original design solutions.”

David continued: “At Pick Everard, we are passionate about design and creating spaces that are sustainable, inspirational, user-friendly, well-defined and engaging. User well-being underpins our approach and thoughtful consideration to the experience makes a huge impact on the project success. The places and spaces we create are influential on the daily lives of everyone that uses the building or environment.

“Our combined design decisions ultimately affect the user experience.”
