Clerkenwell Design Week

On the 15th May, the Interiors team at Pick Everard took the opportunity to visit the highly coveted ‘Clerkenwell Design Week’, which has been unable to be run for the past two years due to the pandemic.
The UK’s leading design festival which lasts all week sees companies/exhibitors from throughout the industry open their showrooms to offer the Public and Trade a chance to see and feel products up close and personal which is incredibly important to us as Interior Designers as we need to feel and the quality of what we are specifying.
The festival is a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow designers and others within the industry in a relaxed environment. The event takes place in the heart of the Clerkenwell and offers over 150 showrooms to explore as well as informative talks from some well-known industry leaders.
During our visit, we took to exploring the streets to check out some of our favourite brands to discover new products and upcoming design trends to look out for.
A few showrooms which stood out to the team included:
- Naughtone
- Orangebox
- Shaw Contract
- Tarkett/DESSO
Orangebox showcased excellent collaborative working solutions which were seen throughout their showroom. Their ‘Campers&Dens’ which dotted around the showroom allow for “A unique, demountable system that can be moved, re-positioned or re-used to suit changing needs” – (Orangebox website). Something which we believe is imperative for the working world we currently find ourselves in post pandemic.
The team look forward to visiting again next year to see the latest, upcoming trends/furniture which will help to influence designs going forward within Pick Everard.
