Pick Everard has been shortlisted for four coveted accolades at the regional Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) awards.
The firm will take on competition from across the property industry following nominations for its work on three significant projects.
Pick Everard has been shortlisted in both the community benefit and infrastructure categories for The University of South Wales Sports Park which has brought state-of-the-art facilities to the university’s Pontypridd campus. The scheme boasts a full-size indoor 3G football pitch – which is one of only three at a UK university.
The firm is also nominated within the tourism and leisure category for Grasshoppers RFC. This new £10 million sports venue has created a sports hub for the London Borough of Hounslow – with a new rugby clubhouse; several sports pitches; a shop; gym and a members’ lounge and bar for the community to enjoy.
Another project in the London Borough of Hounslow, Marjory Kinnon SEN School, has also been shortlisted within the community benefit category. Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson officially opened the £25 million school, which has created 288 new places for pupils in the area and is one of the largest all-through schools of its type in the country.
Alastair Hamilton, partner at Pick Everard, said:
“It is fantastic to be nominated for four different awards, which is testament to the hard work of our teams. Each scheme has added value to the surrounding communities and made a positive impact on the area. We’re incredibly proud to have been recognised at such a high level and look forward to celebrating with our delivery partners at the ceremonies.”
The London ceremony will take place at the Royal Garden Hotel on the 2nd May, while the winners in Wales will be announced at The Exchange Building in Cardiff on 1st May.
