Pick Everard has received the special achievement award at the ProCon Awards during their 150th anniversary year. The ProCon awards is one of the county’s biggest celebration of the built environment.
Duncan Green, Managing Partner of the consultancy, said: “It is such an honour to receive this award and especially during our 150th anniversary year. We have been involved in some significant projects in Leicestershire across the years and supported many local communities through charity work.”
The ProCon Awards ceremony is a sell-out showcase of the industry’s achievements. This year’s ceremony, which was the 14th ProCon Awards, was held on 17 November 2016 at The King Power Stadium in Leicester.
The night consisted of several awards covering schemes of various sizes and sectors, including residential and non-residential projects. There were also awards for sustainability and regeneration.
Pick Everard’s portfolio of work across the county includes work on the iconic Birstall Fire and Rescue Station, M&E services to transform an old Leicester Grammar School into the King Richard III Visitors’ Centre and a £14.5 million refurbishment project at Loughborough College among others.
Duncan added: “It’s a huge accolade to have received this award and we’d like to thank the ProCon Awards for all the work they do in promoting the property and construction industry in Leicestershire.
“We have been part of the Leicester business community for 150 years and have achieved enormous success during this time, completing such iconic projects in the region as: Leicester Grammar School; Leicester Market and Leicester Cathedral Gardens.
“Of course, we’re immensely proud of the work Pick Everard has completed in the region, but we’ve also been responsible for transformative work across the UK.We’re proud to be a net contributor to the county and maintain our position as one of the largest professional service employers in the city centre,” added Duncan.
With 11 offices across the UK and working in various sectors including education, public sector and commercial industries, Pick Everard is championing the programme in Leicester with plans to roll it out to all its UK offices in the near future.
