What is your role within Pick Everard?
I work as a recruitment advisor as part of the HR team. I partner with hiring managers within the business and provide guidance and advice on talent attraction for their team. I support all disciplines across the practice and put together the best recruitment strategies for their live and future roles.
What is the goal of your role?
My goal is to help the business attract the best talent and strengthen the talent density within the disciplines, creating a place where great people work alongside each other.
What inspired you to get into the profession?
I started my journey in recruitment 7 years ago working in Sydney, Australia. I enjoy partnering with hiring managers, learning what makes them passionate about their role and helping people secure fulling jobs.
What do you enjoy the most about your role?
You get to repeatedly see the fruits of your labour and bring great people into the business. Helping Pick Everard go from strength to strength is highly rewarding, I believe we have a great business, and I am keen to spread that message.
What attracted you to Pick Everard?
Pick Everard is a well renowned name in the market. The core values which are written on our website truly flow through the business in a practical sense. People care about the work they do at Pick Everard, people spend the time to train you, support you and have a laugh along the way.
What challenges have you faced within the profession? And what advice would you give to graduates/trainees starting out their career now?
In Construction & Property, there is a clear talent shortage in our profession. We are continuously reviewing our offering and commit to making Pick Everard an industry leader and great place to work. My advice to graduates or trainees is to do your research when applying, if you can articulate some knowledge about the business and role you are applying for, you will stand out from the crowd.
