Stourbridge College had commissioned Pick Everard to design their new Brierley Hill arts campus building, and as part of the project new furniture provision was required. The service was provided to coordinate with the build programme, and was delivered under budget, enabling funds to be diverted for other works to be completed.
The specific nature of an arts campus requires specific furniture – to be suited to both the nature of the subjects being taught, but also durable enough to withstand a further education education setting. Tight timing to align with the main build programme was a key factor, with budget control of high priority.
We worked closely with the project team and senior leadership of the College to develop the family of furniture, and with key staff members to identify specific equipment which was required. We took time to evaluate local and national suppliers, to ensure that we achieved best value, together with best fit for purpose. The resulting scheme was installed seamlessly with the main contract works.
