This scheme aimed to transform the streets, create distinctive public areas and provide a new identify for Mablethorpe, a tired Victorian seaside resort on the east coast.

The brief

Our objective was to improve the quality of the town environment by implementing a coherent and consistent design strategy. The brief called for us to establish design standards to achieve quality, while making minimum interventions on traffic and establishing a better pedestrian environment.

Our response

Pick Everard prepared scheme proposals that transformed the under-performing public space through intelligent design and a considerate approach to redevelopment.
