A new £6.5m University Centre for The College of West Anglia together with their joint-venture higher education partner Anglia Ruskin University. Funding secured by New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership as part of its Growth Deal with the Government.
The new University Centre West Anglia houses full and part-time higher level education and training and includes 14 digital classrooms, a 120-seat multimedia lecture theatre, offices and social space.
The client required a striking new building of 2,000m² acting as focal point at the heart of the college’s Kings Lynn Campus. The brief required us to design high quality HE accommodation whilst also continuing to enhance the overall campus landscape in-line with earlier master-planning undertaken by ourselves.
We delivered a striking two-storey building with an ‘active’ glazed frontage forming the south elevation of an open quadrangle. The highly legible building feels both light and spacious and has excellent environmental credentials.
- We further enhanced the College’s Kings Lynn campus.
- We helped to realise funding opportunities.
- We met tight deadlines and a strict budget.
- We have submitted a BRE application for BREEAM Excellent (74%).
- We delivered the project at the heart of a busy campus.
