Blue-light for Pick Everard with new 3-year Northamptonshire Police framework appointment
Leading multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy Pick Everard has announced its appointment to a three-year framework contract with Northamptonshire Police to provide project management and building & design services for its property estate.
Pick Everard is currently Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Technical Adviser on the new Criminal Justice Centre (CJC) in Northampton, a flagship project for Northamptonshire Police, scheduled for completion in March 2012.
The CJC is a purpose-built custody suite of 40 cells and 3-storey office accommodation and Pick Everard has been involved in detailed site viability assessments and management of the contractor-led design concept that meets Home Office guidelines and current best practice. Pick Everard Partner and Chartered Quantity Surveyor Alastair Hamilton is leading the team supported by Project Manager, Javeed Virk, an experienced Employer’s Agent who recently led the Centralised Contact Management Centre (CCMC) project for Derbyshire Police.
Alastair Hamilton said involvement from the outset of the CJC project in 2006 had provided an in-depth understanding of what Northamptonshire Police requires. “Our latest appointment continues the successful working relationship we have developed over the past four years with Northamptonshire Police and underlines the added value that Pick Everard’s sector-spanning experience brings.“
Pick Everard’s specialist police and custodial team has a proven track record delivering projects of similar scope and complexity for police forces across the UK. The practice is currently working on custody centres for the London Metropolitan Police, a divisional headquarters for Cambridgeshire Police and headquarters for Nottinghamshire Police. Pick Everard has worked extensively in Scotland to deliver projects; police stations in Nairn, Stornoway and a 15-cell extension to the Inverness Police headquarters for Northern Constabulary in Scotland have been completed this year.
