Skills & Experience Required:

We are currently expanding our operations and are looking for a Quantity Surveyor in our Cardiff office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties (including review and audit work) in South Wales and occasionally in the South-West of England, working on predominantly public sector projects. 

Essential attributes:

• Proven track record of cost management of building projects from feasibility/option studies through to detailed cost planning and post contract cost management 
• Experience gained in consultancy environment and working on public & private sector projects, ideally in Wales 
• Thorough understanding of the principal standard forms of building contracts including JCT and NEC3
• Good knowledge of Value Engineering and Risk Management techniques 
• Excellent communication and client facing skills, combined with strong interpersonal and influencing skills 
• Full membership of RICS or equivalent professional body is desirable however not essential, although a commitment to be working towards professional recognition would be expected.

Salary:
